Remote Login Manager Available for Secure External Access

Flexible security and comprehensive authentication frameworks are available so your organization can seamlessly integrate our products with your healthcare organization’s Active Directory. Active Directory synchronization is available in Mixed Mode, Pass-thru and Integrated Authentication configurations. This allows for more control over user access and editing and viewing rights for content.

Security and rights are based on user role assignments and not individual user rights. Defining functional roles becomes more meaningful and efficient in providing access to resources within the portal.

The different types of rights that can be granted to user roles are:
  • View Rights
  • Individual pages
  • Individual components on a page
  • Edit Rights
  • Individual pages
  • Individual components on a page
  • Page Group Administrator
  • A group of pages
  • Portal Administrator
  • Site Settings Management (Administrators only)
  • User Management (Administrators only)
  • User Roles Management (Administrators only)
  • Component Management (Administrator only)

The System User Roles are built-in and part of the HospitalPortal.net framework; they cannot be deleted or modified.

There are three System User Roles:

  • [Administrators] – Users assigned to this role have full access to the system including layout design and content update rights throughout the entire system.
  • [Authenticated] – A virtual user role meaning that no users can be explicitly added to this role. Upon successful login and as long as the user is logged into the system the user is automatically added to the Authenticated user role. This role is used to grant view rights to portal resources to users who are logged into the system.
  • [Anonymous] – A virtual user role meaning that no users can be explicitly added to this role. Every user who is currently not logged into the portal is automatically a member of the [Anonymous] user role. This role is used to grant view rights to portal pages that can be accessed without the need for logging into the portal.
